The Ellora caves, locally known as ‘Verul Leni’ is located on the Aurangabad-Chalisgaon road at a distance of 30 km. Ellora is also world famous for the largest single monolithic excavation in the world, the great Kailasa (Cave 16). The visit to these caves is enjoyed maximum during monsoon, when every stream is filled with rainwater, and the entire environ is lush green.
Ghrishneshwar Temple is a very revered temple, situated in the state of Maharashtra. The temple, with exquisitely sculpted walls, was built under the patronage of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar, one of the rulers of the erstwhile state of Indore.
This structure known as Bibi Ka Maqbara is a replica of the famous Taj Mahal. It is nicknamed as Poor Man's Taj Mahal because unlike the original which is made entirely of white marble, it is made of sand stone, except for its dome which is of white marble. Being smaller in size it is also known as Mini Taj Mahal.
Panchakki also known as the water mill, takes its name from the mill which used to grind grain for the pilgrims. It was designed to generate energy via water brought down from a spring on a mountain.
Daulatabad fort located 15 km away from the main city of Aurangabad. One of the most inspiring aspects of the Daulatabad Fort is its design which makes it one of the most powerful fortresses of the medieval period.
Bhadra Maruti Temple is a well-known temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman located at Khuldabad, near Aurangabad. The idol of Hanuman here is in a sleeping posture. It is one of the only three temples where you will find Hanuman in a sleeping posture.
